I’d’ve said it a little more nicely than the guy with the long handle, but I assume that’s the case, generally, as opposed to malice: that they don’t know the truth.
I’ve had pretty good luck (altho it took me a couple of years) changing the opinion of guns of a good friend of mine, a New York City Jew. (I only provide the description as a shorthand to saying that he’s of a cohort of people who tend to be GFWs.) I’m working him on the health-care issue… :)
