Came home today from a side gig to find out the neighbor’s boy had killed one of the smaller groundhogs in the back yard. Whippersnappper. I’m gonna have the damnedest time getting rid of the rest of them. He would take the easy one.

The thing is the S&W .500 X-Frame Revolvers only hold five rounds.
Hogzilla took 8 to bring down, which means that 12 year old kid had to reload
to bring that bastich down.
Kid has a set of big brass ones, that’s for damn sure….
As for the recoil I’ve read and heard (but admittedly haven’t had the chance to shoot one myself) that the S&W .500 doesn’t have much more recoil than a .44 mag due to the recoil absorbing grips and muzzle brake. Harsh (for a 12 year old), yes, but not anywhere near the recoil of a .454 casull or a ruger .480.
