No reset button- but maybe Norton Antivirus?
it is clearly, as several people have put it, not anything like time to press the proverbial reset button on this country. On the other hand, it’s clear that the US of A is infected with all manner of viruses. What system is analogous to an Antivirus program that will clear the corruption and waste, and allow the prcess to get back to speed again?

How about the Founding Fathers Anti-virus. I think it should be mandatory that high school students take classes and pass tests focused solely on the thought of our founding fathers. You know, reading extracts from their writings, The Federalist Papers, and, well, how about actually reading the Declaration of Independance and the Constitution.
Hankster– Reading, hell. They should memorize them — Dec and Const at least. They’re not that long.

Don’t know about the rest of the country , but here in the Peoples Republic of Illinois, it is a state requirement you pass both a state constitution, and Constitution test(s). My big concern is not in this being a requirement (far from it, I think it’s a great idea) but the teaching of same is done (for the most part, there ARE some exceptions) by some of the most liberal/statist/progressive folks around … public school teachers.
The virus should be chased down with torches and pitchforks, and then hung until it stops kicking.
Did I mention that I consider “virus” a synonym for “Senator”?
The solution to the entire problem is blind redistricting, where you start in the NW corner of any given state and you create more-or-less square districts containing as closely as possible 1/x of the population of your state (where x is the number of congressional districts alloted to your state).
If we can’t get term limits, then we could at least stop the gerrymandering.
Oh, and shoot all hippies and black-clad gothy-types.
Pascal, great minds think alike. I just wish what I am thinking about- or Nathan, for that matter- were available, or even possible. Of course I like Grau’s ideas too.

About the same time Og had posted this thread I had submitted my answers to this short survery that had been sent to me through Townhall.com.
It was in my answer to number 3 that I had told them that the best course of action to defeat the Dems was to fumigate the Senate GOP leadership that is infested with RINOs who work overtime to aid their own while abandoning conservatives at every opportunity.
My own plan of fumigation is by starvation.
I’ll selectively choose to whom I’ll send money. Until the NRCC stops supporting the Specters and stop scuttling the Santorums, I’ll not send them any money.
