Lissenup, folks, if there’s anyone out there who hasn’t figured it out by now:
The Democrat party in particular, and Liberals in general, are NOT ABOUT FREEDOM, and are in fact about LIMITING FREEDOM WHEREVER POSSIBLE. There is NO DEMOCRAT RUNNING ANYWHERE who is interested in any freedom but the FREEDOM TO MURDER FETUSES and the FREEDOM TO STEAL FROM PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR A LIVING. The first and second amendments mean nothing to ANY LIBERAL or DEMOCRAT POLITICIAN I HAVE EVER KNOWN. I cannot imagine who in the hell hasn’t figured this out by now.

Dems are all about freedom of choice. Just so long as you choose what they tell you to.
Fred’s “running” on a platform of limited government, lower taxes, and more national security. Only the most depraved of leftist whackamoles could interpret that as resulting in a loss of freedom for Americans.
Sure the freedoms of terrorists, criminals, illegal aliens, and welfare recipients might suffer, but I can live with that.
Libs also ignore the 10th Amendment, but then, so do most on the Right.

You don’t have to imagine it, Og, half of the damn Libertarian Party will give you chapter and verse on how they’d vote Democrat if they left the LP. F-ing morons, teats on a boar, the reason I left the LP after a few months after I joined it in 03. Not to divert this into a session on the idiots in the LP.
All I know is that this is no longer the country I grew up in. I’ve got a pretty good idea when is started to turn into something else and I know the democrats started it. I’ve not voted for one in several decades now and nothing could change my mind.
If I ask Republicans, or even Libertarians, why they say XYZ on any specific issue, they can tell me how they got to that conclusion, and even if I can’t agree, at least I can see a) that they did their homework and actually thought it out, and b) how they came to that.
Ask a Democrat, and they accuse me of not being a feeling person, and that I don’t care for [insert oppressed victim of the day], so damn me for being heartless. And that’s not disagreeing, that’s just questioning how they got there, mind you. It’s because I just embarrassed them since they got their ideas whole from stars and the cool, hip people. It’s all dadaism – don’t discuss the words, just scream them.
In the 80’s it was the homeless, in the 90’s, the rain forest, and now the environment/global warming. And if you agree on one issue, you have to agree on all, so if you’re for better health care, you have to want to Free Mumia, support gay marriage, decriminalize drugs, etc.
Remember the Monty Python election skit with the Sensible Party, the Slightly Silly Party, and the Very Silly Party? Just substitute GOP, LP, and Dems.

There used to be a Democratic Party. It had people in it like Harry Truman, Jack Kennedy, and Scoop Jackson.
That’s the party Zell Miller wishes he still belonged to.
And ironically enough, comparing Jack Kennedy’s presidency against Richard Nixon’s tends to show Kennedy as the more conservative of the two. Now when is the last time since then you could say that about ANY Democrat? I honestly believe for good or ill, that was the last real Democrat POTUS who had a complete agenda vice, for all intent and purposes, just being “against what the other guy was for”.
