Scooter scoots
Me, I think I would have let them put him in stir.
And then I would have appealed, and won.
And then I would have sued FitzFucktard for malicious prosecution, and won.
Bastards.
Scoot had no business in jail, because he had no business being tried. He would never have been convicted, but the fact that he did NOTHING ILLEGAL was kept from the jury. He would have won that on appeal, I’m sure. And I’m not a lawyer. Thank GOD.

All POTUS did was commute the prison time. He did NOT give Scooter a “full pardon”. So the conviction still stands as is, and can be appealed by Libby’s attorney(s). With any luck at all (and just a tad bit o’ common sense, perhaps he will get the whole thing dropped/expunged.
From your mouth to god’s ears, guy.
I think this happened primarily because the judge refused bail pending appeal. There was no good reason for the judge not to accept bail and let Libby stay free until the appeals process ran its course. But the whole thing is political anyway, and yes of course it’s malicious prosecution.
My guess is like Guy’s, that the appeals court will see reason and drop the whole thing. Of course by then it will probably be past the next election and nobody will care.
Hey Dick — how about Sandy Berger?
I have a sound-bite about this that somehow has not made the rounds.
Maybe a large part of the Right is like you and cannot tolerate the sound of her voice.
But if you really don’t wish to hear her voice coming from the bully pulpit, then consider this as an insurance premium: Help get this sound-bite a wider airing.
Not just it, but the lack of comment on it by MSM reveals the total complicity of MSM in spinning public attitude to the Leftward view. The total event can be used to demonstrate — to an ever widening number of Americans — how far Left, Orwellian and dangerous to public discourse MSM has become.
I have attempted to do so in my own, less than polished, way here. I’m sure what I am attempting to do could be improved. Here’s the raw material. I’m hoping you could do better.
Have you ever wanted to toss a tomato at the Left and at MSM? This one is so ripe.
The way the Basilisk and the rest of the Dems are screaming bloody murder about this suspension of sentence (can it really be called a pardon – there’s no need for a pardon until the appeals process is exhausted anyway), I wonder why this new focus on pardons can’t get the pardon tar baby put on her via her husband’s last minute pardons of Marc Rich, the FALN, and the rest.
Oh, I forgot, because the MSM loves the dems, so Clinton’s pardons (and those WERE pardons) are ok while Bush’s sentence suspension isn’t.
