I wish the hell we could have a collective effort to “buy back” those firearms from private citizens. I bet there’s a lot of damned $1500 guns that get “bought” for $100, and make it into the hands of people who have no business.

I’ve seen folks set up shop a block away from an official gun buyback, paying cold hard cash for guns heading to the scrap yard.
A lot of owners would rather Grampa’s rifle or Uncle Sam’s .38 end up in a shooters hands than melted down.

The trouble is that now he made a market for guns, people can burglarize guns for the $100 cash card, instead of burglarizing a DVD player they’d only get $10 for on the street for their drug habit.
If Da Mare would only have a buyback program to pay people to rid themselves of the gangbanger, mafioso, doper, ghetto, and pimp lifestyle mentalities that feeds the violence in the first place.
