Pavarotti gone

I wasn’t a big fan- Luciano isn’t a boil on Lanza’s ass- but he was a good tenor. God rest and keep him.

Just think what a concert is being held in Heaven tonight… Elvis, Mario and Luciano all singing Ave Maria. Should have bough a ticket.

He was not my favorite tenor — I’ve always thought Placido Domingo was classier, preferred that darker sound (which figures, Domingo was originally a baritone) — but he was a great talent and this is a loss. I’ll surely never hear “Nessun Dorma” again without thinking of Pavarotti.
