Countdown to Firearms season
Archery season opens tomorrow. I have just enough chops that I consider it moment of deer- though I’m hitting the foam daily. Hope to get afield next weekend. The Marlin should be blued and reliable just as firearms season hits. Hope it doesn’t hit too hard.
I have the same thoughts, I don’t use sticks and string, but BP season starts here next week. I have had a lot of neck problems this year, the doctor told me to quit shooting in HP rifle matches so hunting is all that left. The deer here are generally small and I am thinking about using a .223 so as not to damage my injured neck anymore than it is now. Man, have my buds talked trash to me! Its too little, etc, etc. I think with the right bullets and shot placement it will kill’ em dead. AND not hurt my neck.
