Marlin: In the downhill run.
Last issue on the marlin solved last night. The sucker jammed every time you jacked a shell in, and it dawned on me that the cartridge stop wasn’t anywhere near the cartridge. It was still set for a 30-30 shell, and the short size of the 44 mag shell would allow about one and a half shells in the pre-battery position.
So I glued in a spacer.
And it worked like a charm. I jacked ten rounds through it in quick sucession.
I was so tickled I could have cried. And then the glue broke off and it jammed again. But i know what I have to do, and now I’ll pin the spacer in place. And then it’s off to blue.

Yes but are you going to Papeete Bay?
If I can take my Marlin.
I’ve got a Marlin 30-30 that’s abot twenty years old and it is probably my favorite out of all my holedrillers.
