Sorel: Gone, and back.
For years I’ve been wearing Sorel boots. For hunting, there’s nothing like them. I can walk all day and all night in Sorels, and my feet feel wonderful.
And then they stopped making the bastards.
Oh, everyone and their brother makes knockoffs, but the knockoffs were not so hot.
So I started looking around, as my pair os starting to get a little long in the tooth, and found out they’re back! You can now once again buy the original 1964 premium boot.
Of course, now they’re made in China.
Bastards.
Still, I can have my Sorels again.

Check campmor.com, they usually have good prices on Sorel footwear. I wear the Barn Zip boots in winter. No I don’t work for them…
They now probably have unacceptable amounts of lead paint in them.
Which is OK, because I never drink enough anymore to need to get my boots anywhere near my mouth.
The L.L. Beans are just as good, and last I checked still made in the US… though honestly that could very well have changed.
Everything will soon be made in China. I’ve got a pair of knock offs and the seam where the sole meets the upper has seperated. Now my right foot gets wet. Went looking for another pair and could not find anyting made in the usa for under 200 dollars.
We are giving up without a fight and that just makes me sad.
I don’t have a pair of these but have read really good stuff. Custom fit, custom made, in Wisconsin, USA.
