No good deed goes unpunished
Usually.
So Sunday, on my way back from a job, I pull into a Starbucks, in search of my final remaining indulgence, the caramel frappuccino.
I have to swing wide to avoid a van which is parked in… an unusual space. As I walk up to the door, I see two women discussing the location of the van in question, and I notice for the first time the right off tire of the back of the van is immersed in nine inches of mud inside the concrete enclosed median strip.
So myself and one other stranger step up, help her push out. Takes a couple seconds. I don’t even get sprayed with mud, as I suspected I would.
SO I go into the starbucks and order my Frapp, and she gives it to me free.
Nice.
I don’t often get rcognized for the things I do- in fact, I prefer not to, as I’d prefer that the deed be it’s own reward- but sometimes it’s nice when someone notices.

At least she didn’t ask you to father her child…
She had a child in her car- and her CHILD could have had a child.
So did the starbucks give the free drink due to clearing the space or was the driver the worker?
Other question would be what was the child doing during all this?
Good on you for the good deed.
The lady in Starbucks gave me the coffee because I did a nice thing and she was impressed that anyone does nice things anymore.
Van and Starbucks…there had to be patchouli there somewhere
