A decision
and a compromise. I found this, and it’s gonna be my Christmas present from everyone.
Scroll down and look at the “American Whittler Slipjoint Kit”
it’s not exactly the blades I want, nor the shape, but I will be able to customize it somewhat to suit me, and that’s what I like most. I’ll post pictures of the construction. And it will be uniquely mine.

Very cool site – thanks!
I made a folder years ago from a kit that I bought from Jantz Supply. I used buffalo horn for the handle scales and it turned out nice enough to give to my Dad for Christmas.
I think that you will enjoy this and I’m looking forward to the progress updates.
If you wish I have some bits of Brazilian rosewood large enough to make a pair of scales. email me.
Gerry, I may take you up on that. I have pieces of cocobolo, stag, teak, and I am thinking about that. I also have a piece of carpathian elm burl, and some ivory micarta. Just haven’t made up my mind yet.
Now that’s about as cool as it gets.
Can’t wait to see the end results.
Whoa- Og!
I thought you were going for the “push button” style at first- didn’t seem like you…
“When you’re a Jet you’re a Jet all the way….”
Can you use the antlers that I gave you ? I’d love to see them put to use.
swmbo
og,
I just want you to know that I hate you.
How could you do this to me? With all the projects I’ve got backed up, you have to go and point me in the direction of a site for knife kits???
Darn you. Darn you to heck…
;)
