Funky commericals
Stumbled on this a little while ago, thought I’d share it. Anyone else remember this levis commercial?
me, I like the freakish harold and maude moment at the end.

Someone took too much Vitamin A?
Christ I’m old…
I remember this as if it was on yesterday.
Don’t remember it. But I’ve never been a big TV watcher.
And I curse you for making me watch it :) That song will be in my head for days. I’ll have to make Sally watch it to share the torment.
I can honestly say I’ve never seen it.
Yes I remember it. Are you trying to gauge the old fart content of your readership?
Only remembered bits of the commercial, but that damn song was immediately recognized.
Must. Get. Song. Out. Of. Head.
I remember that one well. Came from my high school years. Made me want to buy Wrangler brand.
I think they used that song in several commercials – makes me want to scrub my brain with a wire brush… Sheesh. I guess I saw that particular commercial – but I’m sure I’ve blocked it – for good reason.
Thank you for reminding me of my first earwig. I was an itty bitty one when that rancid commercial came on, and planted that stupid song in my head. Yeah, I had a red corduroy Levi’s leisure suit (yeah, with the wide double notch white belt – if you’re going to dork out, do it 100%), and thought I was the s**t.
A lot of shows had stop action scenes like that in them back then. Or reverse motion. Hey, watch the Banana Splits go up the slide! Duh. I thought that was stupid then, when all I had were baby teeth, and still think that now.
I just wonder what hole in the forest they got that one from. I’m thinking it was next to the 1,000,000 BC newsreel that Bugs Bunny found in the cave, where they showed the saber toothed rabbit.
Amazing. Nothing is so old or obscure that it doesn’t end up on YouTube. Remember when your teachers said something will go on your permanent record? That was a lie back then, but with the Internet, it is reality today.
