McCain
Is a purulent, festering pustule on the scarlet-red hemmoroids of humanity. He is no more a conservative than Nancy Pelosi. He oughta be beaten senseless with his own disembodied legs for McCain Feingold, just for starts.
And on a tuesday in November, I’m gonna proudly go pull the lever and vote for him.
And here’s why: The Wrath of (mc)Caihn.
Pascal makes the point (and, I think, accurately so) that it’s screamers and the brutally uninformed who are getting mcCain the mileage he has. There aren’t enough of them to get him elected- it will be up to the conservative rank & file, most of which know what an insufferable ass mc Cain is.
And someday, this is going to dawn on the fucktard.
And when it does, when he realizes he can’t get elected, or it’s not going to be the clear victory he thinks, his infamous temper will get the best of him, and he’ll turn into a a vindictive, vicious monster, and he’ll do his best to destroy the entire republican party, making it impossible for a reasonable conservative to get elected for forty years. You’ve seen the guy, you know what I mean. The condescending nature, the fatuous comments… tell me I’m wrong.
SO we need to vote for him. And for a lot of reasons, besides the damned good ones Pascal enumerates. As Kim says:

Allow me to add just a bit here.
Abstaining simply because you disagree with the man is not an option, especially if you’re one of those assclowns who pretends to support the troops, but really doesn’t give a flying fuck.
Two simple facts here:
One- The democratic party will bring our troops home in disgrace, dismantle the military, and very possibly open this country to new terrorist attacks.
Two- If you abstain from the vote, due to an over glorified case of MDS (McCain Derangement Syndrome). I will hold you responsible, and you will never again be able to say that you support the troops, because we’ll all know it’s pure bullshit.
I’m saddened to the depths of my soul.
I’ve never seen so many stalwarts failing the principles they so properly stated, time after time, in person and in print.
It is NOT a principle of the culture to hold your nose and vote. You are doing nothing less than HASTENING the destruction of the culture by doing that.
If you still support your Constitution, prepare to fight for it, first, in your blogs and face-to-face discussions, then in the streets, with guns, if necessary. NEVER fail your Constitution by voting for anyone so demonstrative of willingness to subvert and destroy it.

Two, Robert Heinlein (short version): “Vote. If not for, against.”
You’re not voting for McCain, you’re voting against collectivist tyranny.
Then, the day after the election (if not before), sign up for the American Conservative Party. Put the Republicans on notice that they’re not the only game in town.
But DO NOT allow collectivist fecktards anywhere NEAR the levers of power.
Me, I’m voting for Thompson in the Ohio primary. Can’t hurt anything, and might make a point in the right places if enough people do that.

If that’s true, then the “someday it’s going to dawn on the fucktard” is going to be a LONG ways off.
My Mom was also one of these “vote against” people, but to me, that’s too shallow. “Lesser of two Evils” is always an option, but all it means is that one is not energetic enough to completely think out ALL the options.
I’ve thought long and hard about it. I think it’s time for a total change in government, but before I’d go to guns to accomplish it, I’d like to see it tried by a complete re-do of the GOP.
We simply have to put the RINOs back in their proper position, which is as a splinter-left group within the party, not the dominant group. This crap of running the economy like a Commie, and running the other way from the Bill of Rights, just has to stop.
If we conservatives cut the party off at the knees now, the country will be run, for at least four years, by Lefties. I’d vote for Obama to see him, as the least damaging Lefty, get in past the Clintons, who WILL do serious damage in 4 years.
Then we have four years to clean up the party. If we can’t do it in four years, maybe we’ll get it done in 6 or 8, but we have to try, and we have to start trying before any more damage is done by RINOs.
Gentlemen, our very political life is threatened here. We conservatives are in SEVERE danger of becoming completely marginalized, forever. Four years of McCain WILL finish us off.
I’m a survivalist, in more ways than one. I don’t intend to sit still and see the nation, it’s Constitution and it’s culture destroyed from “within” by the likes of McCain.
If it’s Obama destroying it, I can see my way clear to fighting effectively, but let’s face it, we are NOT prepared to fight inside our own party effectively. We leave that crap to the (D)s.
Nope, it’s Tobacco Road for me (“blow it all up and start over again”). Vote out the RINOs, let the Vandals into the gates, muster in the hills and prepare to take back the country.
Oh, and Og, you will NOT “proudly” pull that lever for McCain. It will be the hardest thing you ever did.
Rivrdog: If you think of Obama as the “Least damaging lefty” you have demonstrated an ignorance of the man that is unparalleled. Obama makes Hillary Rodham Antichrist look like Ronald Wilson Reagan by comparison. You have a choice between a man who will try to take a black magic marker to the constitution UNLESS WE STOP HIM as we did with the Shamnesty bill, or a man who will WIPE HIS ASS WITH THE CONSTITUTION WHILE WE LOOK ON IN HORROR.

Obama will destroy this country’s constitution. I really have no desire to see that happen.
He’s already openly stated that he will install PC monitors in police departments, who will decide on the number of blacks being arrested.
