In conversation tonight with Pascal:
This is why I am not a rocket scientist
“As long as your neighbor can legally own a gun, you have less need for one yourself.”
Nicely put, my friend.

Thanks Og, but there’s no rocket science required.
Your aim is to provoke thoughts that operate at many levels at the same time; maybe enough to make a hoplophobe’s head spin off his shoulders.
And there’s your opening to reattach his head — or at least some part of it — straight this time.
Here’s hoping that line, or any one similar to it, now gets some chance to play.
Indeed. I like the idea that it points out- to remind the hoplophobe that they don’t PERSONALLY have to own weapons for them to be protected by their presence. I like the meme a lot.
Funny thing is I don’t carry so much to protect myself, as others.
And in turn Ed, the widespread acceptance of this line of thinking will provide you layers of protection should ever you need it.
But I also recall vividly how certain friends who had plenty of money to buy kilobuck plus sets of mag wheels, never had the money to buy even a surplus SKS.
Said same friends were desperate to “borrow” a firearm back in the 1992 Rodney King Riots.
