The case for disarmament.

One of the biggest weapons the statist left uses against normal people is the fearmongering about firearms. It is no coincidence that they fear an armed citizenry, and disarmament is their core concern- once the nation is disarmed, it is a target rich environment for any stupidity they want to impose on us.
The bottomline, in my opinion, is this: we have to make the statists fear US, and not our firearms. Ten thousand motivated individuals with cricket bats can do more in a single afternoon to rid us of statist fools than an army of armed citizens. We need to figure out a way to make everyone understand that it is not being armed that makes us strong.
It is being right.
The school I went to taught me a few ‘special’ things here and there, so I really don’t need firearms to make a dramatic statement. :)

In assorted of my published articles a point that I hammer home again and again is that citizen disarmerment is not about controlling criminals. It is rather about making the citizen as vulnerable as possible, and therefore dependant on the power of the state to “protect” them. In this context the criminal becomes a vital resoource for the state, because the criminal keeps the citizen in fear without the state having to get its hands dirty. Hence the reason those in favor of citizen disarmerment are also those SOFT ON CRIME.
Crime is a growth business.
If the state did due diligence in reducing crime, there would be calls for massive layoffs in the bloated bureaucracies. The Private sector that caters to them would also suffer, no more new gee-whiz cop toys being bought Dunkin Donuts and Krispee Kreme downsizing. Insurance, social welfare and Alarm industries would be hit hard.
Think of the Poor Lawyers, fer crissake!

Outstanding. Exactly the point, it’s not the weapon, it’s the bearer. And a sufficiently pissed bearer doesn’t need a firearm, just enough back-up.
