Hey, I’m a retired vet, an they would not take me back … torqued me off to know end. Would much rather be there then to have my sons go (though I would be proud as all get out to see any one of them in uniform). I like the thought of letting those with all of their life ahead of them getting the chance to live it. Let us old farts do the job. We’d probably get it done sooner as well, have to be back home before the start of next years pro football season starts … err wait a min, I’m a Bears fan … never mind, I’ll stay a bit longer.

Reminds me of something that I read about forty years ago.
That was an article by a woman about why we should not have women in front-line combat.
It boiled down to “excessively ruthless.”
