Home again, home again
Second night in the same chain, different hotel,. kids in adjacent room kept me awake until TWO.
And then at THREE, the GODDAMNED FIRE ALARM WENT OFF.
I hit the alarm clock. I picked up the phone, I wandered naked around the room screaming “WHAT IS THAT NOISE AND HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP”
I witnessed about forty people milling around in the parking lot half naked. THe alarm went off. I went back to bed. Missed or slept through my wake up call. And went to work three hours late, so I ended up staying three hours late to get the job done.
Driving through the dead center of Indiana, brown grass, no leaves.. all pretty depressing. Fall usually puts a dread sort of melancholy on me, but early spring, before any green rears its head, well, that’s just depressing. Driving through Indy, thinking of Tam and Roberta and Nathan nearby, and thinking of possibly getting together with them and shooting, cheered me up some, but I didn’t feel whole until I pulled in the garage and saw the Oglet waiting for me at the kitchen door.
Good to be back. Good to get out, visit friends, etc. but good to be home.

Getting home is usually the best part of any trip, at least for me.
Welcome home.
My tolerance for noise in a room I am paying for is very limited.
If the front desk can’t handle it, then I ‘ll knock on their door.
If that don’t handle it, I’ll call the
cops.
I am not an asshole, but if I am going to be miserable, I will endeavor to share my misery with the source of my misery.
Fri, 4:10 AM, the fire alarm went off in our motel.
This time, I actually DO feel your pain.

I need to pop off this old stuff I inherited from Dad.
I also need to get off my duff and get downtown and apply for my CC permit. It’s difficult for me to take off during the day. Bastards ought to be forced to be open on the weekend.
