The boots
have arrived. Danner Desert Acadias. Nice boots.
I got 12 EE. Widest the had in my length. Still feel narrow. On the tother hand, I am told by some that they need to fit snugly or I’ll have trouble. The 12 EE’s I tried on in the store fit a bit differently, but I’m gonna walk around in them a bit and see. They still felt OK after a mile, and no bad pain, so maybe I actually need the fit and support, and the “loose” shoes I’ve been buying have actually been hurting my feet.
One way or another, a damned nicely made pair of boots.
Are you using the heel cup? I think what they call it is
airthotic support.
I use them in both of my Danners and also I found that a little tighter fit is fine.
One sure can tell the difference between cheap and quality in a hurry and the American made ones are generally a much better product.
What is scary to me is that there is not much of a difference in price between the imported and the domestic.
Don’t know about any heel cup.
“cheap” boots fall apart before I get them broken in. I hope these last a while.
