Spring planting
Tilled the terrace. Cut the wires to the malibu lights in the process, but what the hell.
Have to go plant now. Going to do beans and peas, though it’s not actually a good day till wednesday. May put in some beets too. Feels good to be turning the ground.

Oh hell yeah.
I have to get my garden in a little earlier down here in Texas, or it’ll all cook on the vine, but I got some sweet peas, white potatoes, cabbage, lettuce, carrots, and some greens in a few weeks ago.
Just about time for the corn, peppers, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, and sweet potatoes now.
I had to put a new engine on my tiller (it’s only about a year younger than me, and couldn’t get parts for the old Tecumseh anymore), but it was a handful :) And you’re right, it’s been a while since I had a feeling like looking at that 1200sqft of perfectly pulverized sandy loam.
Enjoy the garden, Og, and I hope everything produces like crazy for you!
Yes, I hope your garden grows, but for us curious folk, why did the malibu lights go through the area to be tilled on the terrace?
I figured malibu is far enough away from the terrace to be safe from your ravages, but who knew.
The lights at least came east.
Hey, that is almost witty. Still, all in all, how did the lights succumb?
The edge of the terrace away from the house is where the malibu lights reside.
I have to till the terrace (that’s my garden) and in doing so I often till through the area where the feed line goes- but actualy, I discovered I had NOT tilled it, but just cut up a piece of “extra” wire that was laying there.
