Not for being a racist
but for being a yenta
this woman should be slapped down.
She was interviewed on the John & Cisco show yesterday, and apparently:
“I calmly said the tree is not there for them to be climbing in there like monkeys.”
No. HSe DID not call the kids monkeys- which is what she’s been cited for- and what Obama has dropped her like a hot potato for (even though he did nothing about his own pastor and advisors blatant racism) SHe just used the WORD monkey. And was immediately labeled a racist.
Sorry.
She should be fined and slapped down for being an insufferable yenta.
Trees ARE meant to be climbed in, like monkeys, or any other climbing animal. You dumbass bitch.

I keep wondering who’s the racist — the person who used a simile involving our evolutionary ancestors, or the people who, in every mention of monkeys, see a racist comparison to black people?
M
Indeed.
I don’t know if “yenta” (“gossip, blabbermouth”) is the right word, but I get your drift. She’s clearly a busybody nosenheimer, and that right there would be enough for me to smack her down.
Sorry, I was under the (obviously mistaken) impression that yenta was busybody.
What a bunch of crap all around. The boys were scared of the busybody neighbor? There have been busybodies forever. What has the world come to that no one knows how to behave anymore?
The boys’ proper response should have been to begin tormenting her surreptitiously. The parents should just make up some nickname for her. And she should turn bitter and own lots of cats.
Feel free to forward this advice to her, if you think it will help.
And the ticket is pure codswallop. It’s not like she called them “pickaninnies” or something.
Yenta was a matchmaker. Someone who OFFICIALLY knew everybody’s business thereby.

I remember when the ‘monkey bars’ were a common fixture on the playgrounds everywhere. Then they started getting rid of them when the kids accidentally hurt themselves. I wouldn’t be surprised if the trees were the only thing around for the little fellers to climb on – so who is to blame for that? Kids are genetically programmed to climb things as the Neanderpundit notes.
But old women are also genetically programmed to natter at them while they do it too. My scholarly opinion, based on years of watching human wildlife is that this is a symbiotic relationship between young and old that is as old as mankind himself. Old women need things to bark at, and young boys need to be barked at more often than not.
Rusty, that is too wise an observation for you to have left no url to peruse. >.
“SHe just used the WORD monkey. And was immediately labeled a racist.”
Look, if someone can be labelled a racist for using the word “niggardly….”
