We keep several in every room in our micro-house plus the tool boxes. They still friggin wander off.The tape measures. Not the tool boxes.

Just had to drive the the store and but another one. The only two I could find were the cheapo flimsy 99 cent ones that werre bent and wouldn’t extend.
It’s the driving I hate most – not the purchase of the tool. My time becomes more precious every year.

I have 2 tape measures that I will NEVER lose. One is buried in concrete in the front porch, the other is buried in concrete in the back porch.
Concrete-block is disappearing as a method of building foundation walls; good thing cuz those holes are tool-iverous.
Wait till ya need gloves.
That’s nothing. My ten different tape measures all grow legs and run away, but only when I need to use one.
Go figure.
You should be able to circumnavigate the globe with that many.
And you know this by… measuring the relative distances? With… a … tape measure?
