Vicodin withdrawal not pretty
Trying to back off eating vicodin like tictac. Pain don’t bug me so much as the queasiness. Add this to switching back to contacts from glasses and my vertigo and I’m in happy fun land.

As long as you’re there on the meds already, I say go for LASIK and drop the contacts, too!
Make sure you tell Dr. Boothe (Dallas) you are a shooter so he can tune both eyes for long distance targeting.
You may have to acquire reading glasses for close work, but your targets down-range will see much improvement!
LASIK – If it’s out there, we can hit it.
Lasik would be cool. I have ther best guy in the country right here. But i also have the best optometrist- who cautioned me against lasik for shooting, and he’s dead on.
I have contacts in five different strengths, and I can tweak and change according to the conditions so I cna see the best- and long distance ain’t it. I won a 100 yard match a month ago, and i did it not by being able to see the bull perfectly, but by being able to focus on the sights.
I have a friend who had LASIK and then immediately developed the over-40 disease (apparently a common result for older patients). So he still has to carry reading glasses around.
I already have the over-40 disease, and my arms are just barely long enough to make up for it now. I’ll stick with my progressive bifocals, thanks.
On the other hand, considering what you said about Chicago drivers, the switch in corrective lenses, the vertigo and the crankiness of withdrawal might bring you into perfect synchronicity with the Chicago drivers.
