The brother/sisterhood of the wounded knee?
Sitting in Broad Ripple weekend before last, mentioning my knee surgery, Tam and Roberta and Alger all three winced. If you’ve had knee trouble, you know wherof i speak. Who wants to set up and manage the BroSisterhood of the Wounded Knee?

You know, if having babies hurts worse than my knee when I blew it out, I can’t imagine how the race has survived.
Blew my knee. Torn meniscus and acl.Herniated discs in the low back and neck. Had two kids, two torn rotator cuffs, and a heart attck.All were relatively easy compared to the knee rehab.
And Alger has lived with me through almost all of it !Thank you Alger !!

Hey, how is your knee?
I’m in. Walking down the hall at work and torn meniscus went again causing me to yelp.
I’m in as my knees are destroyed by my own doing, but have no blog.
Guess you’ll just have to get your ass back on that horse, wontcha?
I have to plead lightweight. As you know, laying the laminate floor in the study two winters ago put me in considerable pain and MRI-torture, yes. But no surgery, and the scars on that leg are from an entirely other incident.
I’m just really good at sympathy winces.

No blog, and nothing on Breda. On the Ocourse at OCS folded my knee 90 degrees sideways.Blew the tibial plateau into four pieces. Seven screws, a plate and 13 years later I can max the PT test at 44 at 17-21 year old standards. Find a pool and work that sucker. Good excuse to start riding again though.
Does the small but well-stocked hardware store in my left ankle count?

I’m sitting in a wheelchair right now, contemplating the idea of the new titanium hardware in my right knee.
Is it time for a Percocet yet?
I’ve not had it as bad as some, like Tenn Budd, or Breda, but I betcha I’ve got most of jokers beat.
Tibia plateau fracture, literally split the tibia in two. Now have a nice foot long scar, a plate, and 8 screws holding my left knee together. Not to mention the bone grafts.
I was able to walk without a cane at 6 weeks, albiet for extremely short distances. My Phys. therapist was in shock. Apparently 12 weeks is normal and 10 weeks is considered “fast”.
“Doesn’t that hurt?”
“HELL YEAH!”
I don’t know what you people are talking about – my knees are perfectly fine.

Knees… what was the Designer thinking?
Must say it has been over 9 months since I had my titanium plate and screws fitted… no good at weather prediction so I guess I am lucky.
I trust your surgery will be as good as mine Og!
