At the end of the first week of 2005, I can only say with any amount of conviction, Thank God that’s over! It’s all a lot like being introduced to the guy who had the most cigarettes on your first day in stir.

stir? Pardon me, but where is “stir”?
I’d be more cheerful about the advent of 2005 if the idiotarians were actually eating their humble pie. This year will only be better because the election is over (except for the one in Washington State, that is). Otherwise, it looks like it will suck like last year.
On the other hand, my income appears to be going up :)
