anyone wondered, Cooney seems to be on the mend.
We discovered him fighting wiht his kibble, and tried him on soft canned foods (he always turned nose up at before) so we suspect his teeth are tender; with the soft food and tuna (as always, watching the quantity etc) and he seems to be thriving on it- put on weight, more active, back to his formerly vocal self. Staring down the dog, even.
Thanks for all your kind thoughts and words.

That’s great news, Og.You’re doing a great job with him. It’s hard getting an older cat back on his feed, so to speak.

Cooney’s upper “fangs” are probably shot inside the gum. We had to have Snoopy’s removed a couple of years ago because he was having trouble chewing. The doc said if it wasn’t for the fact that you have to anesthesize them to do it, cats ought to have them removed at maturity, they can cause so much trouble later. And, he said, “they never miss them.”
I think Snoopy might disagree about missing them, but he certainly seems more comfortable without them.
