If you’re ever in Traverse City
you should make a point to stop in at Cliff’s Rifles.
Cliff, the proprietor, is a great conversationalist (in his Michigander/Finnlander way) and his stock of rifles, scopes, etc. is, to say the least, impressive. SInce he didn’t have falling blocks or doubles, not the kind of place I’ll be drooling at, but nice bolties, by the dozens.
No web presence, says he’s plenty busy enough.
Big guns on him, too. Not the kind of thing you expect from a shopkeeper. ‘I used to cut meat” he tells me. That splains it.

Is that the little hole-in-the-wall shop that is PACKED with guns? If so, I was in it a couple of years ago.
FWIW: we spend nearly 4 weeks/year at Buckley, about 25 miles South of T.C., working at the OldEngine Club grounds. Everyone is invited to the show on the 3rd w/e of August, look for my and my wife in the woodshop. All old line-shaft-powered equipment, that is in use very day during the Summer, not just during the show. See: http://www.buckleyoldengineshow.org/
While in town for the show, you can jump up to T.C. and go to the gun store!
yep, Jim, nice place.
