We need to get axes out of the hands of people.
Because they can be used to commit crimes.
Because when owning axes is criminal, only criminals will own axes.
Further proof that anyone who thinks regulating fireams will stop crime is an utter and abject retard, and should be sterilized so they do not pass on their stupid.

Another case where CCW may have saved lives in Illinois.
Allow me to axe you a question.
Axe away.
Ok, so it’s a hatchet.
Most media types who refer to axe murder are actually describing crimes committed with hatchets.
But them if they don’t know the difference between an automatic and a revolver should we expect them to know axes from hatchets?
With that I think I’ll go fondle my lovely old Plum hatchet, and contemplate the bifurcation of said media types cerebral cortex with it.
I don’t know about you, but every time I pick up an axe for utilitarian purposes the blood inevitably rushes to my head and I think “skull crush”. Not sure why. Same for hatchets.
Sorry, that was supposed to be “Plumb.”
Never would date a gal named Molly.
Not sure why, but it just sort of put me off, if you know what I mean.
And I think that you do.

Yep, Charles, a hatchet. Nobody has any more idea what an axe is than what an automat5ic weapon is, apparently.
I enjoy using an axe, though I have never killed anything (or anybody, for that matter) with one. It feels good to work the shoulder and back muscles while I make the chips fly.
Speaking of Plumb axes, my dad just gave a Plumb double-bit axe that he picked up at a yard sale. The hickory handle is oiled, smooth, and tight; but somebody tried to sharpen the blades with a grinder. If they didn’t draw the temper, I should be able to dress them with a file and some elbow grease and bring back a good tool.
Slash, you could also case harden it with soem Kasenit, if you had to.
That’s true Og. Do you suppose I could get the blade areas hot enough to case harden, but too hot for the handle?
If I have to take the handle off, I could normalize the whole head and heat-treat from the start with the forge.
I’d see how it fares first. You might just be OK, and if you need to case harden it, you might be able to keep the head in a trough of water with just the edge sticking out to caseharden.
