First of the season

Washed, rinsed, chilled, and handed to my beloved ladies. There will be more for me, but the Ogwife and Oglet got the very first two.

My cousin’s are still green, and I just got my first yellow blooms this weekend. There’s nothing like vine fresh tomatoes. Enjoy!
Dude, I remember from somewhere that chilling a tomato reduces the flavor significantly.
I a, not one to fall victim to the green eyed monster, but today, I have tomato envy.
Yum.

Very nice, and quite early, must be Early Boy/Girl. I had the first batch of wax beans last weekend, plenty more to come. The sweet corn is starting to tassle but I won’t have tomatoes for another couple of weeks.
True love is giving someone else the first ripe tomato off the vine. Now I must go check mine.
Tomatoes? Heck, for a minute there I thought the occupants of his curiously large balzac regrew themselves occasionally at the start of the season… I was kinda creeped out there just a tad bit…
Excellent!
Lisa got terribly impatient, so we had fried green tomatoes a couple of weeks ago – first ripe were probably about 10 days ago.
Yum!
