Why is it that the cat can stay out all damned night and mroooooows loudly to be let in first thing in the AM….
….only to run to the litterbox to do his odiferous business indoors?
I mean really. With one crapper in the house I often have to water a tree because the wife or daughter are in the can. Why can’t the cat whiz or poo outdoors? Isn’t as if there’s no dirt, or sand.
I’ve noticed over the years that some of my pets preferred particular surfaces to be under their butts. For instance, when I had a dedicated forge area, my dog would preferentially dump on the gravel floor. I had another dog that would hold it until he found green grass. Dead grass would not do and dirt was right out.
Maybe your cat is a poop receptacle conossieur and only considers it a perfect evening when he/she can finish up indoors in the litter box.
You wanted it to be housed trained. Make up your mind :-)
Perhaps he just likes air conditioning ……or perhaps, like bringing you a dead mouse, he just likes YOU !
