Why I want Sarah to get the nod.
Well, because she’s a decent person, for one. because she has some decent values. Because she’s good at changing things, ousting porky politicians, making her constituency happy.
But most of all, I want to point to her, and say to the Oglet: You can do this. A girl from a little remote town can aspire to the highest office in the land. And win. That’s the best part. No, Hillary would not have done the same thing, because besides being patently evil, and a horrible statist, she was a priveleged child. Pelosi? A dirtbag from way back. leader of the lowest approval rating in American history for good reason. No, Palin is a decent, normal woman with good values, and I’d like nothing more than for the Oglet to grow up just like her. I want the Oglet to be on the farm team.

Palin is the best thing to happen to the real women’s equality movement in a long time. She demonstrates that a woman can get as far as a man without sacrificing femininity, someone from a modest background can make it as far as someone who was given everything, and a rural woman can be just as qualified for a high office as an urban Ivy-League male.
I like Palin. I’d like her if she were a man. This is not the affirmative action choice, but simply a candidate with authentic reform and anti-pork credentials, and she’s incredible.
She can speak well, and attack without sounding mean. She pokes, and gets the audience to laugh along. In a simple version, she’s awesome.
SARAH. With an H. Please.
My wife — whose Hebrew name is שרה — says that is very important.
Apparently only hos use the short form. It’s the equivalent of ending a “y” name with an “i”, e.g., “Kathy” vs. “Kathi”.
Ed: Fixed. Not a misspelling, but a typo. Sorry, Sarah.
Ted’s right. It’s not about the plumbing, but the policies.
Leftists always make this mistake. Well, it might not be a mistake. For all their manifold policy failures, individual leftists seem to enjoy some considerable personal success.
Nice work if you can get it. And stomach it.
But they’re always on about the trivialities and ignore the substance. And the reductio ad absurdam (ad nauseam) is the candidacy of … well, any Democrat, it seems. Unqualified except on the basis of race, sex, religion, or national origin.

Somewhere else I read that what really scares the H*** out of the other side (and some of those on our side as well) is that this is a woman who has no ties to the current party(or DC) power structure, isn’t a lawyer, didn’t attend the “right” schools and doesn’t “hob-nob with the goober smoochers”; and further has made it pretty clear that she doesn’t really care if she ever has does.
Can’t wait ’till she and the hubby go to the inaugeral ball and she gets to introduce him to the slicksters there. Major smack-down coming there I suspect.
Palin is EXACTLY the example we’ve needed for young girls in this country….I couldn’t agree with you more…
Sarah is America.
