V for Vengeance
Watched parts of it the other night.
A terrorist keeping the world safe for homosexuals?
Yeah right. Give me a fucking break. I especially liked that one character had a Koran “because you didn’t have to be muslim to appreciate beauty”. Forgetting that islam considers homosexuality a crime punishable by death. And Christianity is demonized, as usual, though ALL christians who ARE christians accept homosexuals, just not what we consider their sins.
Sorry. A more worthless piece of shit has never been so visually compelling and so soulless.

I watched the whole thing, shaking my head. Aside from all the blood splatters and the shaving of Natalie Portman’s head, there weren’t a lot of memorable scenes. Hugo Weaving and Steven Frye, how the mighty have fallen. Pathetic.
Really horrid, wasn’t it? to paint society as homophobic and mysoginistic and the church as perverse and foul, can only come of a tortured mind.
According to Michael Yon there’s some “stirring undercurrents” among the Muslims re: Teh Gayz. Towards the end of Death in the Corn: Part II of III he writes; Interestingly, Iraqis would sometimes say that a man is not a homosexual unless he has sex with other men when he is over thirty. At that age, they say, a man should stop, or else he’s a homosexual, which is a perversion of faith. – So it seems that the deciding factor (or cleric) is WHO decides the factor?…and he continues re:Afghanistan: I recall reading Ahmed Rashid’s fantastic and prescient book Taliban, which was published before the war. Mr. Rashid described a tank battle waged between warlords over the services of a young boy. Boys are for pleasure, women are for babies, they say. Such is this land, Jurassic Park.
The fact is, they’d just as soon have sex with goats.
Beauty Schemauty.
I’ve (attempted to) read the damned thing, and while it might be beautiful in Arabic (and plenty of people will want to kill you if you say otherwise, at least), it’s bloody awful in English.
Thanks for the warning.
