It isn’t Obama who frightens me.
No, he doesn’t bother me in the least bit. On the other hand, the gullibility, naivety, and sometimes even thoroughly complete stupidity shown by some 50% of our fellow citizens… that outright terrifies me.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m buying more ammo.
Just sayin’…
Dick

I’d say it’s a little more than 50% Dick, McCain is no great shakes either. How the hell did we get to this point?
Biloxi, we’ve always been near this point…just ask P.T. Barnum.
As I recall PT said you can fool all of the people some the time and you can fool some of the people all the time but you can’t fool all the people all of the time.
I am for one not fooled, however as one I am all but powerless, so in a since, I am still a fool.
Damn depressing if you think about it very much. I really need to kill something soon ( I deer hunt )
PaulB — that was Abraham Lincoln.
The PT Barnum quote I was thinking of was either “There’s a sucker born every minute” or “You’ll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public”, the latter also being attributed to H.L. Mencken.
If you’re expecting a complete monetary crash, and I am, you can’t go wrong by buying gold and ammunition. The gold, of course, will be an acceptable alternative money after the Almighty (not!) Dollar collapses, and the ammo will be acceptable for small change.
BTW, don’t forget to have some gold in denominations of less than 1 OZ. By the time we get into the depths of the post-collapse Depression, that gold will be “marked up” to maybe several thousand “dollars” per ounce, and so you will need something smaller to buy necessities from those merchants agile enough to be able to procure goods for resale using the alternative money.
GOH – I stand corrected. You had the better quote anyway :-)
