About the trip:

We spent our first day in Paris, between connections.

Parisiens are, as a group, pretty nice people. And yes, some areas do smell like pee. And French girls know how to wear jeans. Even french women.

My eldest daughter wants to do some classes over there in a year or so and the wife wants to go visit. Hopefully by then their economy will be in the shitter enough I can stand them. Maybe. Hopefully my economy can stand the trip.

No one in Paris is really noxious except students and waiters. Much like everywhere else.

(And even a tiny bit of French, spoken with a smile, can charm the waiters into being civil. The students, not so much.)
