A sensible plan for the GM bailout
1: Shoot everyone who works for the EPA.
2: Make sure the Union thugs are standing behind them so you don’t waste any bullets
3: Put Japanese in charge and fire all the existing upper management(Above 250k/yr)
4: make employee and management incentives rely on company profits.
5: Eliminate CAFE standards.

Sounds good to me.
Can we make sure Congress is standing behind the Union thugs, too?
Damn, need to get bullets with better penetrating power.
Well…put Congress in front. There’s only 535 of them, after all.
Dear UAW management and members:
Please grow up. You can’t win by making demands so extravagant that your employers can no longer stay in business. If you continue to demand such unreasonable things from your employers, these jobs will no longer exist.
Dear Big Three management and designers:
You brought this on yourselves. There are multiple examples of why the competition was able to come here and start thrashing you. Even after the competition showed up, and proved that people were willing to buy their product, you continued to deliver shoddy vehicles. As a personal example, if I ever find the people that designed the ’84 Cougar that I was subjected to, I am going to hurt them. If I’m too late, I’ve found my favorite urinal.
Dear Member of Congress:
Stop messing with the free market. You seem to be incapable of figuring out why people have been buying more SUV’s. This should be held up to light as an example of your incompetence, as it’s not that hard to explain. Due to Washington D.C. imposing the unrealistic CAFE standards, It is now impossible for a family of four to go anywhere in a sedan. You cannot load 2 child seats and all the things you would need to drive to Grandma’s for Thanksgiving in a normal car anymore. Also, parents have some reluctance to loading their precious children into a vehicle that they perceive to be unsafe due to its miniscule size.
Dear Og and Nathan:
Your solution seems more likely to be effective than my open letters.
Ted, you’re just too civilized.
It’ll never happen. They’d be able to build cars people would actually want.
We should just have goverment buy everyone a new car to get the businesses going.
I would want to buy a toyota and not a Ford or GM.
Okay maybe. If you must get everyone who works for the EPA, the Union thugs, and congress as well, let us use a method more suited to Detroit. Let’s wait until they’re all in the same house and then say it with arson.
I do enjoy this country’s varied traditions.
LOL! Ted, it sounds like you’ve spent time around Chicago.
3) Japanese in charge
Well, we tried having Germans in charge when Daimler had Chrysler; they couldn’t put sense into them, so they spun them off.
Wow, how bad is it when even the Germans can’t impose order and command you to do things right …
The sad part? Kelly’s new Accord. We didn’t even consider GM, Ford, or Chrysler. Couldn’t, they don’t build anything in the same class.
I agree with everything except the EPA. Shouldn’t be shot. Burning at the stake is more appropriate. Here’s to man-made global warming.
Hey, I live in Indy, and Chicago is not so far away. I like Chicago much, and have spent a few happy weekends there. However, to the best of my knowledge, I don’t vote there.
I give it about 50/50.
MTS, they were the wrong Germans.
The Germans turned a recovering company into a trainwreck. Keep in mind, they’re not a nation of business men – they’re a country full of socialist clockmakers. When a 20K Buick has a better fit and finish than a 80K BMW, is speaks volumes as to the expertise of German carmakers.
