Oh, to die after a long life where you got to do what you wanted to do, and got to sit back and take it all in before checking out. It was decades of struggle, which finally came to good for the guy.
I was there for almost a week in April, 2001. Went to his bar, even met the man, shook hands, though we didn’t talk. I didn’t want to burden him to entertain yet another tourist.
