   I can’t imagine she’d be any less uncompromising as SecState. She voted for the war and she never apologized for it.

   I still say I would have preferred her to Obama.

   I disagree with you, Dick. Tough, OK, but considering what she did to the members of the White House travel office and all the lies and manipulation since then, I’d rather have someone with a conscience. She should be in prison, not getting national security reports.

   Excellent move by Obama (i.e., keep your friends close, but your enemies closer). He removes the one who may have been his biggest thorn in the Senate.

   Instead of being the Senator from New York, an influential member of the most powerful exclusive club in the country (Senate), and answering only to her state, she now is an at-will employee of Obama. Instead of preparing herself for her next presidential campaign (or at least try to shape a stateswoman legacy) and running her own public life, she now has to tow his line. He can give her any s**t detail, and send her off on fool’s errands. She should consult with Gen. Powell on what happens when you’re a president’s first term S.o.S. who gets thrown under the bus.

   I’d be surprised if she accepts. And surprised that she, or her handlers, didn’t see this chess move for what it is.

   Then again, maybe she knows exactly what she is doing…being only a couple of rungs down the ladder of presidental succession.
   VP Biden (who knew he had a brain aneurysm waiting to happen)
   Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (those botox injections can be tricky sometimes)
   President pro tempore of the Senate Robert Byrd (another old geeezer just a heart beat away from a dirt nap)
   HILLARY (the once and future Queen!!)

   If she wanted to, she could do him great harm from that job. Think of the “leaks” she could set up.
