One of the things I like most about hunting
is being outdoors. I live where I live because every window in my home opens out onto a fairly wild area, (for a suburban town). I love sitting in a stand or blind watching nature unfold around me, and should the ability ever come my way, I will build a cottage that is made to be more a part of it’s surroundings than an intrusion upon them. I mean, it’s important to be able to stay warm, but when this is outside the window, the warmth comes from within.

This is from the blind looking across the field. THe owner has built three such blinds, about 18 feet tall and made like brick shithouses.
This is looking over my shoulder, in the area where the deer leave the treeline.

The blind is covered with branches and has about a 6′ x 8′ shooting platform. Very very nice. I look forward to hunting there next year.

Glad you got the critter finally. Have a nice Bambi steak for me, and have a Merry Christmas!
Never hunted out of blind before. Seems like it would limit your targets.
