My old Ryobi ate its final shitburger this afternoon while hanging new sheet rock. It was the industrial grade, bad MF that took ten+ years of my abuse. Dropped more than Billy Blastoff and abused like a rented mule.

With that said, Popular Mechanics did a review on Lithium drills and in taking their advice, I bought the winner. What can I say about my new friend? This sucker has enough torque to snap a lugnut off a wheel.
I bought the Craftsman C3 setup a while back.
When the lithium batteries for them came out, I grabbed them immediately. AMAZING; and an amazing value.
I’m about to look at some of these, and I ought to save that link. Looks like the makita is a good buy- I’ve had good luck wiht their products in the past.
Lisa got me the 4-pack Ryobi kit for my birthday last month. A friend has had the pre- Li-Ion 18v set for several years, and they’re actually pretty sturdy for aggressive homeowner projects.
Happy to see PM thought highly of the drill as well.
