utah concealed carry
Just sent all my stuff in with the money order and fingerprints etc.
Class was actually pretty good, the material covered similar to an NRA class. The instructor was a good guy, showed off examples of every kind of gun (though he missed single action. I don’t think too many people would conceal carry an SA)
he had a couple things wrong, he said a Weaver stance was where you weave back and forth. I restrained myself.
He got the four rules right. He got most of the Modern Technique right.
Bottomline is I have my permit application stamped and I’lll be getting the utah Concealed Carry in the mail in a couple months.
I also managed to bank the rest of the cash I had leftover from the gunshow, and got some heavy wool blankets to cover my office windows, after having received last month’s $480 heating bill. SHeesh.
A constructive day, all in all. I better stop this, I’ll be expected to do it all the time.

I conceal carry my full size 1911 in an IWB or and OWB holster on a separate belt under my pant waist. I use the latter method most because it allows me to drop my trousers in a public restroom without my gun hanging down around my ankles when I have to do my business.
soon as my moobs shrink to a manageable size ill start with a shoulder rig.
My SO read an article to me today that said Utah’s CCW is honored in 30 states. I wish I had asked for the url of the article. Anyone else read this, or know it to be true?

Why did you apply for a Utah CCW?
Because it covers some of the states Indiana does not.
Thanks for the prompt. I will send mine in today, just trying to save up the $63 or so. The class was good out here too. BTW, I travel with my guns to Idaho, through Nevada. Two out of three is not bad.

UT is still the only one where you can apply and NOT be a Resident of that state, AND do it all by internet and mail.
I didn’t fergit shit, Dog- though what you say is certainly true. I specifically sought out the utah CCW because it allows me several states with which Indiana is not reciprocal, like(for some damend reason) Ohio.
Not like fergetting is far from me. In fact, I have a document on that somewhere…. where the hell did I put that?
