Tradeshow swag
Today I attended the Design Engineering show at McCormick place.
Lots of cool new tech, etc, and I got a lot of ammo for the next years worth of software reccomendations. On the other hand, one of the coolest things is the swag. yeah, a lot of crap, but some cool stuff too; Squeezy balls shaped like baseball helmets, one even shaped like a brain. Two dozen nice quality ballpoint pens. One ballpoint pen/ FM stereo combination. A fudge brownie. A Starbucks’ coffee. Multiple pieces of software. Lots of contest entries.
And 13+ miles of walking around McCormack place. Dogs barking. Must sleep. More later.
Oh!! MT upgrade by Sekimori
Seki rocks.
Seki wanted me to let you know that she is NOT responsible for the- how did she put it? “Alleged design” of this blog.

yeah; I got the brain one at Amcon/Southcon show.
very nice!
Gotta love the swag… One of the few perks of going to conferences…
Got one of those squeezy brains, too. My four year old LOVES it – he likes to walk around holding it tight, then fake-sneezing and launching it across the room.
Funny one, that boy… ;)
Jay, sounds like my kind of kid. Buy that boy a slingshot and keep him away from windows!
Slingshot? I’m thinking more one of those 6mm BB guns in a full-auto variant…
I mean, this kid’s such a wiseass already, I’m *SURE* that I’m going to be on a first-name basis with the school principal in short order… ;)
Start with the slingshot, so he appreciates the accuracy of the BB gun. Move up by increments, not big jumps!
