Happy Annoyurnation day, Mr President.
While I’m convinced that I could, as Vonnegut said, carve a better man out of a banana, he’s our president tonight, and heres’ some things I wsih for him.
I hope that he will rise to the job. He is so unqualified it can’t be described; but he’s not stupid, either.
I hope he feels the weight of that job settle on his shoulders and he realizes what he’s gotten himself into.
I hope he serves his term safely, because I don’t want him becoming some new leftist martyr.
Most of all, I hope America wakes up to what they’ve done, and don’t do it again. We need a president who becomes president because of the content of his character, and not the color of his skin- which is what we have now.
I will be watching the channels tonight for annoyurnation coverage. And, for a while, at least, not watching those channels again which cover it.

I won’t be watching, because to tell you the truth, the hypocrisy of the drive-by media in the run-up to this day has just plain sickened me.
If I see one more laudatory article full of purple prose or another picture of a smiling, waving Anointed One, I may puke my guts.
I’m glad I’m not going to DC until the second week of February. Maybe they will have used up the commemorative Metro tickets by then.
I have never seen so much hype over a man who has done nothing but get elected. He did nothing while he was a state senator, he did nothing as a US Senator, and I doubt he’ll do anything as a president.
I wish him the best of luck, but I just don’t think he is up to the job.
He hasn’t done anything of merit, other than get a degree, which is not what it once was. Our only hope is that he will continue to do nothing of merit for four years.
Of course Hamas, Israel, Iran, Russia, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and most of south east asia, and china will have to all keep quiet for four years.
We are so screwed.
And this is why the chances are very good, he will be long remembered as following in Jimmy Carter’s footsteps as apposed to FDR. Heaven help us all.
