Well, it’s true, as the other people who left comments on your new book sample (and on Amazon) will attest. I decided to not say that I see a good amount of Clancy inspiration (that is a compliment), for people will think you were cloning his style, which you do not, but there’s that tight, deadpan, emotionless, step by step narrative of the action that actually amps up the reader’s emotion, the creation of the great “good guy” characters, and the amazing detail of an author you realize knows all too well what he is describing.
If that review helps sales, it’s because you deserve it. I double dog dare anyone to buy the book and finish it with a “meh” reaction, or doubt your character development.
Plus, your scenarios unfold so closely to what we’ve sadly seen happen on the real news (i.e. Beslan), that the reader can’t help but get a tinge of fight-or-flight adrenaline.
I hope this takes off.
A title would help…
