Fuckit, I watched the Puppy Bowl. I want both of those beagles. I want to get them to chase MINE around until they’re all exhausted.
Max, we’ve discovered, loves to chase around the dot from a laser pointer, and will do so until he’s out of breath. Good way to get him plenty of exercise.
I have a 1.5 year old Bluetick Coon Hound. I take her “running rabbits” almost every night to burn off the unbounded energy.
If it weren’t for having an ATV and acreage, I would never get any sleep.
Our Beagle, Daisy, is also laser dot manic. I think she really would go until she passed out if we let her.
All of my wife and kid’s cats over the years (note that I have never had a cat, but they have had a bunch of them) have loved the laser, but this is the first dog that I’ve seen that would play with it.
Oh, and I use a cheapie weaver mount laser sight, not some wussie laser pointer. One extreme advantage is the on/off switch so you don’t have to hold the button down the whole time.
Jayne is a laser dot chaser as well. More like a cat than a dog in that regard; except Jayne is 120lbs.
We’ve actually got him to make a 2 foot unsupported midair vertical, not against a wall or anything, just chasing the thing. It’s hilarious.
Patton dropped two turds tonight within three hours of each other. Both had to be 18″ in length.
