Yes, Gregg ought to be worried. Specifically worried about those who would react as you suggested should governor Lynch or his party find some excuse (and they are looking high and low for one as we speak) not to appoint Gregg’s former chief of staff, Bonnie Newman.

Considering the risks, maybe I should have put minority leader Mitch McConnell or the GOP mascot in the cartoon instead of Gregg.

As to the “football” game, I can’t shake the feeling we are about to see booted away the GOP balance in the Senate.
