Job Opportunity
A diamond mine in Sierra Leone needs a guy to do some odd jobs around the place and they gave me a call. It’ll be interesting to see what Kelly has to say about this.
Yeah, I know some different folks.
*Well that went over well. “Hell no.”
The whole story… The ex is a bigwig with a mining company that owns a mine there and are having some serious problems. She told them my history. When the guy called, I gave him my price tag, told him it was non-negotiable+ expenses+ stock+ life insurance. He didn’t seem a bit phased by the demands and told me, ” You’ll feel like you’re back home.”
Creepy.

Smart move on the “NO!” vote.
I had a chance to work in the antartic once. Wife said OK, just don’t come back. Same effect.
Mine said the same when I started to inquire about contract work over in the mid-east. She said I hope you like it over there, cause that will be your new home. Needless to say I didn’t go.
I know this sounds selfish, but you got a book to write. I need to read the rest of the story. I’ll say no more so as not to give it away.
Sounds like an interesting and challenging job that pays extremely well.
From what you’ve written about Kelly, though, I think that “Hell No” outweighs everything else.
BTDT.
