The more things change
the more they suck.
AC and all in the truck working wonderfully- an excellent time for the trucks radiator to begin puking coolant all over the place! So I drove the Van today to run some errands, though it’s got a whine in one of the idler pulleys that’s just loud enough to really get on my nerves.
So I yank the radiator (it’s amazing how fast you can do that, once you’ve done it two or three hundred times) and find the leak, and it’s anopther two hundred bucks on top of the hundred from last week.
Yay!

It’ll never end. Almost makes new truck payments look… (dare I say it?) attractive.
If I could afford them. Have to wait until the wife’s truck is paid first.
Well… If you can’t be handsome, you can be handy!
Every X number of miles, you hit that hump in a vehicle when everything goes splodey all at once. You pay to get that fixed, and presto you have a good vehicle again. It happened on my Saturn two years ago, and all I’ve had to do is get my oil changed since.
Why can’t radiator leaks be fixed with some kind of sealant? If we can put a man on the moon … Once I left an old car overnight at the local Merlin place for another problem, and next morning they reported a puddle on the floor from a radiator leak that hadn’t been there the day before. The leak was from a hole right up front and center and easy to see, the exact size and shape that would be made by a medium size flat blade screwdriver if you poked one in there.
