I cannot touch type.
I pretty much look at the keys all the time.
But I can feel the difference between 9mm kurz and 9mm luger without looking.
And I don’t have to bend over to know that the shell is a 10mm or a .40 and not a .45.
Guess a guy just has to have his priorities.

I can’t touch type.
I test out at about 53 WPM.
Freaks the hell out of office folks who do touch type and can’t hit that speed…
I will admit that I can’t differentiate between calibers as easily as you can, probably because I don’t usually shoot center fire handgun cartridges that aren’t rated for taking down velociraptors :)
I tend to hit between 80-90 wpm with a 10% error rate on typing tests. I attribute this almost solely to years of piano lessons and my summer econ class in high school, where the instructor phoned it in and had us copy vocab from the back of the book. I spent three hours a day for three weeks typing. Still learned more about economics that way than most of America’s voting public.
Many moons ago my dear old pappy FORCED me to take typing in highskrool. He said, “Son, you ain’t never gonna be able to get you no office job if’n you don’t learn how to type and I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let have to work for a livin’ like I’ve had to my whole life.
I was the only male in two fkn typing classes but, fast forward to today, and you can’t hardly hold ANY kind of job without being able to type.
Thanks, dad.
I type about a novel every two years. Just not in a hurry.
