Is there anything better
than FRESH green beans picked from your very own garden?
Well, yes. Fresh maters. And pierogies fried with deer meat that you killed.

True story. The fresh figs are pretty damn tasty as well.
Yup, done that. Pick, carry, snap, simmer with bacon, eat right away…..
Aw damn, now that’s good.
Green pepper, washed, sliced and eaten raw within two minutes of leaving the fine. It’s like your mouth died and went to fresh, crispy heaven.
“fine” should read “vine,” and even that’s wrong because it’s not one. My peppers are next to my tomatoes. Sue me.
Dude, what is this “pierogies”? I like it idea of it fired with vensison, but I don’t know what it is.
We just pulled some tomatoes and green peppers (corno di toro) today. Killed three hornworms, too – one of them from the pepper plants.
BTW, 107 degrees today, still 100 at 7 pm. It is a DRY heat, though.
