Ah, isn’t a lovingly-restored machine a thing of beauty? Back when I was production manager of The Patch Factory, I had our ’63 KORD rebuilt from the frame up. New bearings, new gears, new journals, new everything. When they turned it on, it purred.
Of course, we could have bought a new one for the bill, (if there were any on the market) but…

Back in the day at
Purdue (much closer to the steam age) the corliss machine was mentioned in therm D class. I was too dumb to appreciate it.
